We all know that the cost of living is sky rocketing, at what feels like a daily basis. In addition to this, if you know me - you know that I want a big, adventurous and rewarding life! ✨🎉 For this reason, I have secured part-time employment again within Brisbane. I am very fortunate that my new employer has been incredibly flexible with my existing travel & bookings. Photography continues to be my passion - and I am in no way shape or form hanging up the camera, by returning to work it actually ensures that I can continue to grow the business! It's hard to pinpoint exactly when a business anniversary falls... was it when I got my first camera? Was it when I registered the business name? Was it at that moment I confidently called myself a photographer? I'll never really know. Regardless of whichever day or year it all fell upon, August 2023 was the first time I charged for services. It was the first time I truly believed in myself and what I could be. It has been such a wild journey from that point onwards. A huge thanks to @yaspowerbeauty & @desirebeautyacademy who was my first client, and still continues to be a client. I would love to have a piece of perfectly scripted advice for you all if you're looking to start or continue your journey into business ownership... however, when you learn daily, there is no concise message. So here's a handful of very simple pieces of advice: 1. Do the thing that sets your soul on fire. 2. Believe in yourself, back yourself. 3. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. 4. Grow a genuine support network. 5. Don't forget to pay yourself some superannuation. Oh bonus one, learn to post at normal times & actually sleep.
